Issue

  • While performing a system controller replace operation to replace Node01 (AFF-A300) in a 2-node cluster with a new AFF-A400 controller the customer was unable to remove the VLAN and interface group (ifgrp) configuration on Node01.  This caused the operation to pause and it was not able to be resumed:

Example:

::*> system controller replace resume

Error: VLAN present on node . Remove and resume again.
       command failed: Operation is not in proper state to resume.

  • When the customer attempted to remove the VLAN configuration the command failed with this error:

Example:

Error: command failed: Cannot remove port that is a failover target for a LIF. To list LIFs containing a failover target, use the "network interface show -failover-targets <targetname>" command.
