Issue

  • SQL server backup jobs fail indicating the directory does not exist:
Msg 50000, Level 16, State 1, Procedure dbo.DatabaseBackup, Line 2276 [Batch Start Line 0]
The directory \\svm1\share\folder\ does not exist.

  • Packet traces show ONTAP returning a STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED after a write request from the client.
