Issue

  • AutoSupport messages fail to send when intercluster LIFs are up.
  • Intercluster LIFs (e0M) are unable to reach DNS servers or the mail host.
  • Pings to DNS (xx.xx.xx.xx/xx) and mail host (e.g., xx.xx.xx.xx/xx) from e0M fail when intercluster LIFs are up.
  • When intercluster LIFs are down, AutoSupport works as expected.
  • Disabling intercluster LIFs restores connectivity for e0M to DNS and mail host.
  • Packet traces show no SYN/ACK response for SMTP port 25 when intercluster LIFs are up.
  • Associated network ports are not blocked
  • Log Output / Symptoms:
