NFSv3 operations hung due to client NFS daemon issues

Issue

  • Not able to cd or ls to NFS mountpoint.
  • When run cd /mnt/vol1 it get hung and never respond.
  • Mount also hung:
[root@linux ]# mount -t nfs -o nfsvers=3,sec=sys 10.1.1.1:/vol/vol1/qtree1 /mnt/vol1 -vvv
mount.nfs: timeout set for Thu Aug  8 05:10:03 2024
mount.nfs: trying text-based options 'nfsvers=3,sec=sys,addr=10.1.1.1'
mount.nfs: prog 100003, trying vers=3, prot=6
mount.nfs: trying 10.1.1.1 prog 100003 vers 3 prot TCP port 2049
mount.nfs: prog 100005, trying vers=3, prot=17
mount.nfs: trying 10.1.1.1 prog 100005 vers 3 prot UDP port 635
