Issue

Customers monitoring for domain controller (DC) connectivity issues using the EMS event secd.cifsAuth.problem may receive false alerts. This EMS event is also triggered by authentication failures due to invalid credentials (such as unknown username or bad password), which contradicts the event catalog description:

cluster1::> event catalog show -message-name secd.cifsAuth.problem

Message Name: secd.cifsAuth.problem
Severity: ERROR
Description: This message occurs when a CIFS authentication attempt fails for any reason other than an unknown username or bad password.
