Issue

Pings from LIFs of vserver to the gateway fail and downstream switch is not receiving MAC/ ARP Response from ONTAP ports even though the port shows up.
 
network ping -vserver <svm-name> -lif <lif-name> -destination a.b.c.d
no answer from a.b.c.d
