Applies to

  • Network

Issue

  • LIFs created on SVM with home-node Node1 and home-port a0b-2036 were not reachable.
  • The issue was isolated to this particular SVM; LIFs on the same node and port but on other SVMs were reachable.
  • Symptoms and Log Output:
    • LIFs on Node1/Node2,  Port a0b-2036 could not be pinged or accessed.
    • LIFs on the same home-port and home-node but on other SVMs  worked without issue.
    • After migrating the affected LIFs to the partner node, connectivity was restored.
    • No firewall issues were identified.
  • Packet traces showed ARP responses were working (Layer 2 OK), but ICMP (ping) failed (Layer 3 issue).
