  • It is not possible to enable access to a CIFS volume via NFS export using an IP address, instead of user mapping
  • NTFS volume uses NTFS ACLs to determine the user access, allow or deny
  • UNIX-WINNAME mapping is mandatory for UNIX world to understand Windows world
