  • Unable to authenticate to a data SVM. Attempt to authenticate fails with error message:

Incorrect credentials for svm1.example.com

  • EMS logs show:

3/5/2020 08:09:37   ClusterA-01          ERROR         secd.cifsAuth.problem: vserver (svm01) General CIFS authentication problem. Error: Ontap admin cifs authentication basic procedure failed
