Issue

  • Unix users intermittently see 000 Unix permission on files and directories when accessing an NTFS security style volume
  • Mapping UNIX user to a Windows user fails as per EMS:
Unable to map 'pcuser'. No default Windows user defined.
FAILURE: Name mapping for UNIX user 'pcuser' failed. No mapping found
  • As per vserver nfs show -vserver SVMNAME -fields map-unknown-uid-to-default-windows-user 
    • The option  map-unknown-uid-to-default-windows-user  is enabled for the affected SVM
    • A default Windows user is not configured
