Description

  • Limit the scope of VSCAN virus scanning for CIFS shares in ONTAP.
  • Control scan targets by operation type (write, modify, read).
  • ONTAP supports scan trigger control via file operation profile, but does not support folder or user-based scan restrictions.
  • Folder exclusions can be configured using the exclude path feature.
  • Folder-based scan inclusion and user-based filtering are not supported in ONTAP VSCAN.
  • Use the antivirus solution’s on-demand scan for folder selection.
