Health Alert Post Takeover and Giveback: "Storage Shelf Not Connected to Both Controllers of the HA Pair"

Issue

  • After a takeover and giveback operation, the `system health alert show` command outputs the following alert:

::*> system health alert show
               Node: xxxxxx
           Resource: Shelf 1.1
           Severity: Major
    Indication Time: Tue Jul 16 14:31:50 2024
           Suppress: false
        Acknowledge: false
     Probable Cause: Storage shelf 1.1 is not connected to both controllers
                     of the HA pair (xxxxxx, xxxxxx).
    Possible Effect: Access to shelf 1.1 will be lost with a single
                     controller failure.
 Corrective Actions: 1. Halt all controllers that are connected to shelf 1.1.
                     2. Connect shelf 1.1 to both HA controllers following the guide applicable to your shelf.
                     3. Reboot the halted controllers.
  • After a certain period (several minutes), the error is resolved, and the system health alert table is empty:
