Event log show error netif.linkErrors

Issue

  • EMS log report the following error every hour:

[cluster1-01: intr: netif.linkErrors:error]: Excessive link errors on network interface x. Might indicate a bad cable, switch port, or NIC, or that a cable connector is not fully inserted in a socket. On a 10/100 port, might indicate a duplex mismatch.

  • This can be reported for different ports and nodes.
  • Ifstat output can also show increasing synchronized Total and CRC errors:
