Cannot write files or sub-folders to share with multiple users

Issue

  • When a user creates a file or a sub-folder to a share an error message appears with access is denied but the file still gets created
  • Permissions seen on the file are different to the permissions on share directory :
    • vserver security file-directory show -vserver <vservername> -path /<sharename>/<sharename1>/PROJECT/ 

                    Vserver: <vservername>
                    File Path: /<sharename>/<sharename1>/PROJECT/
                    ...
                   UNIX Mode Bits in Text: rwxrwxrwx
                         ACLs: NTFS Security Descriptor
                               Control:0xbf14
                               Owner:BUILTIN\Administrators
                               Group:25DOM\domainusers
                               DACL - ACEs
                                 ALLOW-25DOM\PROJECT-0x1f01ff-OI|CI

    • vserver security file-directory show -vserver <vservername> -path /<sharename>/<sharename1>/PROJECT/test.txt

                      Vserver: <vservername>
                    File Path: /<sharename>/<sharename1>/PROJECT/test.txt
                    ...
