Issue

  • CIFS local authentication procedure fails:
    • secd.cifsAuth.problem: vserver (svm) General CIFS authentication problem. Error: User authentication procedure failed
      CIFS SMB2 Share mapping - Client Ip = xx.xx.xx.xx
      Login attempt by local user 'xxx\xxx' using NTLMv2 style security
      FAILURE: CIFS authentication failed
  •  Packet trace shows 
    • STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE
    •   xx.xx.xx.xx   xx.xx.xx.xx   SMB2   Session Setup Request, NTLMSSP_AUTH, User: xxx\xxx
      xx.xx.xx.xx   xx.xx.xx.xx   SMB2   Session Setup Response, Error: STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE
