Issue

  • Backup of a NetApp CIFS share fails when the backup application encounters broken symlinks.
  • The following errors are observed in the backup logs:
ANSxxx9E ..\..\common\winnt\ntrc.cpp(771): Re Win32 RC 87 (0x00000057) from FileRead(): ReadFile '\\fileserver\share$\path\filename'. Error description: The parameter is incorrect.
ANS1xxE Selective processing of '\\fileserver\share$\*' stopped.
ANS1xx8S An internal program error occurred.
