Backup of clone volume using CIFS is slow due to Vscan

Issue

  • Commvault is creating a clone volume while taking backup of CIFS share.
  • It is sending API request to NetApp to create clone volume, create share on that clone volume.

  • Once clone volume and share is created, Commvault will access the share on clone volume to take backup.
  • While running backup, CIFS share is getting scanned via Vscan server as on-access scan policy is enabled.
