Issue

  • Customer is encountering a Circular directory structure warning when running `du` or `find` commands on an NFS 4.2 mount with nested junction paths.
  • This occurs on ONTAP 9.17.1P7 with Linux Kernel 6.12.
  • Packet traces show ONTAP READDIR returns mounted_on_fileid equal to the target volume root fileid (64) for junction entries, while GETATTR on the same objects returns the correct junction inode.
