Issue

  • In environments using FPolicy persistent store, NFS clients may experience latency or Nblade.dBladeNoResponse events, and SMB/CIFS clients may experience operation timeouts.
  • The issue can occur when FPolicy persistent-store volumes become unavailable while FPolicy event processing continues.
  • ONTAP logs may show FPolicy persistent-store staging-buffer messages such as fpolicy_staging_buffer_add_entry failed or Staging buffer ... is DROPPED due to excessive write attempts to PS store.
