Issue

  • An LDAP server is incorrectly marked unusable for 180 seconds after a lookup returns zero entries:

Searching LDAP for the "uid" attribute(s) within base "ou=xxx,o=xxx,c=xx"
LDAP search succeeded with no entries
Marking LDAP(NIS & Name Mapping) connection to IP xx.xx.xx.xxx unusable for vserver xx
 
  • This can cause more LDAP connections resulting in more DNS requests when SIGN is enabled
