  • ONTAP does not permit adding a SID to a file if the SID cannot be translated into a name.

  • This enhancement request reflects some customers' appeal to engineering to enable support for adding a SID to the ACL in NTFS security descriptors via a REST call, even when the SID cannot be resolved to a user.
