Issue

  • CIFS user authentication fails while SecD periodic service discovery for the SVM is stuck on an LDAP TLS connection.
  • SecD logs RPC TOOK TOO LONG and secd_rpc_auth_extended has failed with RESULT_ERROR_SECD_IN_DISCOVERY (RPC result 6938).
  • Authentication requests for the affected SVM continue to fail until SecD is restarted.
