Issue

SMB/CIFS access through FlexCache volumes may intermittently fail or become slow when Remote Access Layer (RAL) cache thrashing occurs between cache and origin volumes.
Affected SMB clients may see failed TREE_CONNECT or CREATE requests with generic Windows errors such as STATUS_INTERNAL_ERROR. ONTAP EMS logs may record messages similar to:
