  • In ONTAP 9.14.1 and later, enabling FPolicy may lead to high client I/O latency when flow control is engaged frequently.
  • EMS is raised whenever the flow control is engage:

[netapp-02: kernel: Nblade.fpolicy.flow.control:notice]: FPolicy flow control is engaged as the monitored file operations rate crossed the sustainable limit[45000] for this platform.
[netapp-02: kernel: Nblade.fpolicy.flow.control:error]: FPolicy flow control is engaged as the monitored file operations rate crossed the sustainable limit[13000]
