Issue

The following scenario could lead to a cifs outage

  • LDAP signing is enabled (session security set to sing/seal) in "vserver cifs security"
    • DNS PTR records for the DC's IP addresses are incorrectly set and point to a different domain name than the one served by the DCs themselves
    • customer executes a "cifs domain password reset"
