Issue

  • An ONTAP upgrade will not start, or automated pre-upgrade validation reports volumes in an offline or restricted state.

  • The affected volumes belong to an SVM that is the destination of an SVM-DR (SnapMirror) relationship.
  • This offline/restricted state is expected behavior for an active SVM-DR destination is not, by itself, a volume or hardware fault.
