Answer

No

Additional Information

  • ONTAP is a self contained system and memory is used and allocated depending on system needs
  • Memory usage is statically mapped to specific processes by engineering
  • The only time memory utilization can be a problem is:
    • A bug causes a memory leak
    • A core file is required to help engineering determine the cause and fix
    • An EMS message about WAFL running low on memory will be displayed
    • This will only be directed by NetApp Support to gather a core file
