Applies to

  • AFF A90 (PFC enabled by default on e1a/e7a)
  • Cisco Nexus 3232C with RCF v1.13
  • Heavy FlexGroup workloads

Issue

  • After connecting new A90 nodes to the cluster switch, cluster interconnect latency spikes to seconds per operation.
  • Rebooting switches and nodes does not help.
  • Disabling Priority Flow Control (PFC) on the switch ports linked to the A90 nodes immediately restores to normal latency.

Notes:

  • A90 uses PFC by default. This issue does not always occur; it is more likely under heavy workload
