Applies to

  • ONTAP 9
  • NetApp Global File Cache
  • FabricPool

Issue

  • Experiencing performance differences when testing data through different shares on the same volume.
    • Share1 is an existing share and performance is slow.
    • Share 2 is a new share and is much faster when accessing the data from that share.
  • Provisioning a new volume and new file share with the same data results in slow performance compared to the fast file share.
