Issue

  • Following the addition of drives, the system is reporting an incorrect size on all added drives.
  • The drives report lower usable space than expected. Example:
    • Expected correct size for this model of drive 1.75:

0 : NETAPP X4024S173A1T9NTE NA50 1831.1GB 4160B/sect (XXXXXXXXXXXXXX)
    • Actual drive usable space reported 1.74:

0 : NETAPP X4024S173A1T9NTE NA50 1828.7GB 4160B/sect (XXXXXXXXXXXXXX)
  • Occasionally, some drives may report the correct size after some time:

0 : NETAPP X4024S173A1T9NTE NA50 1828.7GB 4160B/sect (XXXXXXXXXXXXXX)
1 : NETAPP X4024S173A1T9NTE NA50 1831.1GB 4160B/sect (YYYYYYYYYYYYYY)
