CONTAP-46484: FAS8300 or FAS8700 with more than three attached DS460C shelves will not be completely discovered

Issue

  • On a FAS8300 or FAS8700 system, if more than three DS460C storage shelves are attached to the onboard SAS storage ports (0a, 0b, 0c, 0d), some of the drives or storage shelves will not be discovered.
  • Also, ONTAP will not report multipath HA connectivity, even though the storage shelves are correctly cabled.
