CONTAP-43452: High I/O latency during DS460C IOM12 firmware upgrade can lead to drive failures

Issue

  • After an IOM12 firmware update and during the subsequent Drawer Control Module (DCM) firmware update on a DS460C storage shelf, some disks might experience high I/O latency.
  • In some rare cases, the I/O latency can be high enough to result in failure of multiple disks, possibly resulting in controller disruption.
