Issue

  • Attempting to start a FlexGroup (FG) rebalance job fails:

Cluster01::> volume rebalance start -vserver svm1 -volume FG_vol

Error: command failed: Failed to start volume capacity rebalancing for volume "FG_vol" in Vserver "svm1". Reason: entry doesn't exist.

  • This FG volume also is not visible in ONTAP System Manager in the Storage -> Volumes view.
