Answer

The default RAID policy for disks 4TB a and larger is RAID-TEC.

For disks 4TB up to less that 10TB in size, an aggregate can be created as RAID-DP and can also be converted from RAID-TEC to RAID-DP.

For disks 10TB and larger, RAID-TEC is the only allowed RAID policy.  Anny new aggregates and/or RAID groups must be created as RAID-TEC and and aggregates/RAID groups that are composed of 10TB or larger disks can not be converted from RAID-TEC to RAID-DP.
