"Volume delete" fails due to association with an Application

Issue

Attempting to delete a volume with command volume delete results in the following error:
 
cluster1::*> volume delete -vserver vserver1 -volume volume1

Error: command failed: Volume "volume1" in Vserver "vserver" is part of application "application". You must remove the volume from application "application" using
"application volume remove" (privilege: advanced) command before you can delete this volume.
