Unable to enable FSA on 2 volumes

Issue

  • When attempting to enable the FSA (File System Analytics) feature via System Manager, the toggle switches on and off immediately, and the feature does not activate.
  • Efforts to enable FSA using the CLI result in the same behavior—the feature remains inactive.
  • The following error is recorded in the MGWD logs:

[kern_mgwd:info:3768] 0x822280300: 8803eb000000e9ee: ERR: OLV::Analytics: getReport:src/olv_analytics.cc:781 Could not get: Volume does not support operation

  • The affected volumes were previously configured for Data Protection (DP) as part of SVM DR and were made Read Write(RW).
