Unable to delete busy snapshot from Veeam Backup: Snapshot copy has not expired or is locked

Issue

  • Cannot delete snapshot used by Veeam:
    Error: Command failed: Snapshot copy "snapshot_name" of volume "vol_name" on Vserver "SVM_name" has not expired or is locked. Use the "snapshot show -fields owners, expiry-time" command to view the expiry and lock status of the Snapshot copy.
  • The volume snapshot show command shows that the snapshot is busy and owned by a volume clone:

    ::> snapshot show -volume test_clone -fields snapshot,busy,is-constituent,snaplock-expiry-time,expiry-time,owners
    vserver        volume        snapshot        busy owners         is-constituent expiry-time snaplock-expiry-time
    -------------- ------------- --------------- ---- -------------- -------------- ----------- --------------------
