AutoSupport SMTP fails to send intermittently due to SMTP 550 5.7.0 Message Size Violation

Issue

  • Unable to send ASUP that are WEEKLY  and type all using the system node autosupport invoke command.
  • Smaller ASUPs (type: test) are sent successfully and delivered via SMTP
  • SMTP transmission of the Weekly ASUP fails
Error: transmission-failed
EMS logs

[cluster-01 asup.smtp.drop:error]: AutoSupport mail (HA Group Notification from cluster-01 (EMS mgmtgwd.vreport.nodesUnreachable) ERROR) was not sent. The system will drop the message.

  • SMTP configuration on the Cluster is correct:
