ONTAP admin LDAP Fast Bind login by FreeIPA account fails with 'Invalid credentials'

Issue

The IDM LDAP user account tries to log into ONTAP cluster with LDAP fast bind, but gets error Invalid credentials:

Cluster::*> secd authentication ontap-admin-ldap-fastbind -node NAS-01 -vserver NAS -user btables

Enter the password: 

Vserver: NAS(internal ID: 123456789)

Error: Ontap admin LDAP fast bind authentication procedure failed
**[    35] FAILURE: LDAP fast bind failed. Error: 'Invalid
**         credentials'

Error: command failed: Failed to authenticate user. Reason: "LDAP Error: The supplied credential is invalid".
