License add fails with "invalid license key" and throws "MDB recovery unsuccessful" errors in AutoSupport

Issue

CIFS shares are not accessible and displays the below Autosupport messages.

  1. HA Group Notification (MDB RECOVERY UNSUCCESSFUL FOR THE servprocd) WARNING
  2. HA Group Notification (MDB RECOVERY UNSUCCESSFUL FOR THE mgwd) WARNING
  3. HA Group Notification (MDB RECOVERY UNSUCCESSFUL FOR THE nchmd) WARNING
  4. HA Group Notification (MDB RECOVERY UNSUCCESSFUL FOR THE coresegd) WARNING
  5. HA Group Notification (MDB RECOVERY UNSUCCESSFUL FOR THE shmd) WARNING

Symptoms

  • License add command fails with no apparent reason stating the below error,

license add: invalid license key "< license code >", reason: "License addition failed.", skipping.

  • License command displays no licenses available although licenses exist on the system,

Filer> license 
No licenses are installed

  • The storage system displays the default CIFS shares, however this cannot be accessed from the Windows client.

Note: Other protocols FCP and NFS will continue to function normally.
