LIF is able to get to the gateway but unable to get to the host

Issue

  • From client: CIFS/NFS cannot reach a data LIF
    • network ping shows no answer.
  • From ONTAP: Ping from LIF to gateway shows alive
    • network route from LIF to host shows a hop on the gateway but not reaching the host.
  • Other LIFs with same VLAN can reach the host
  • Other LIFs on the same vserver and node can reach the host.
