LIF interfaces errors on CheckMK monitoring tool after ONTAP upgrade

Issue

  • After upgrading ONTAP to version 9.8 and above,  CheckMK monitoring tool starts reporting about multiple LIF interfaces errors.
  • The errors appear on daily periodic basis and could even reach to thousands of time a day.
  • All the LIF interfaces that are suddenly reported on are LIFs that sit on ports who belong to ifgroup
