Answer

If you configure Apache with the WebDAV module, it will work properly as a destination for uploading system configuration backup data.

Additional Information

This external page's instructions were used successfully in configuring Apache to upload configuration backup data via HTTP from Ontap 9.

When using the system configuration backup upload the following applies:

  • If HTTP is configured at the webserver then an HTTP PUT operation is used to send the file to webserver
  • If HTTPS is configured at the webserver then an HTTP POST operation is used to send the file to webserver (CONTAP-196995 adds support for PUT with HTTPS)
