Answer

  • No, removing FlexGroup member volumes is not supported.
  • If a member volume was allowed to be removed, the remote hard-links pointing to other places in the file system might also be removed, causing data access outages.
  • However , volume moves are supported with FlexGroup volumes at the FlexVol member constituent level and must be performed from the CLI.
