Issue

  • ONTAP upgrade paused due to giveback of SFO aggregate vetoed by keymanager

Node: Node-05
Aggregate: Aggr_06
Aggregates Giveback State: Failed: Operation was vetoed by
keymanager. Check the event log
Destination for Giveback: Node-06

  • Additionally below errors are seen from EMS 

2/18/2023 02:07:06 Node-05    ALERT       sfo.sendhome.subsystemAbort: The giveback operation of 'Aggr_06' was aborted by 'keymanager'.
2/18/2023 02:07:06 Node-05    ERROR       gb.sfo.veto.kmgr.keysmissing: Giveback of aggregate Aggr_06 failed due to unavailability of volume encryption keys for the encrypted volumes of the aggregate on the partner node Node-06.
