Applies to

  • ONTAP 9.7
  • ONTAP FlexGroup volume

Issue

  • A FlexGroup constituent volume is low on space after conversion
  • A FlexGroup volume has unbalanced constituents after it was converted from a FlexVol volume and then expanded with the result of having an additional constituent of different size than the first one.

Example:

cluster::*> vol show -vserver SVM001 -volume vol_TSP* -fields used,percent-used,size,files,files-used -sort-by used
vserver volume size used percent-used files files-used
---------- -------------------- ------- ------- ------------ -------- ----------
SVM001     vol_TSP__0002        642.4GB 50.94GB 7%           21251126 465284
SVM001     vol_TSP__0001        996.0GB 988.9GB 99%          21251126 7458787
SVM001     vol_TSP              1.60TB  1.01TB  63%          42502252 7923823
