Issue

  • The following error is reported when trying to enable NVE on a volume:
volume encryption conversion start -vserver SVM1 -volume test:: Error: Failed to start conversion on volume "test" in Vserver "SVM1". Reason: Operation is not supported on NAE (NetApp Aggregate Encryption) volume.

  • NAE has been enabled with onboard key manager (OKM) configured
