No, System Manager Automatic Update includes the following firmware categories:
  • Storage firmware for storage devices, disks, and disk shelves.
  • SP/BMC firmware for service processors and BMC modules
  • ONTAP Time Zone Database, starting on 9.13.1
The upgrade of these firmware is non-disruptive in nature. The default behavior is to automatically download and install recommended firmware updates, you can change the default behavior per update category (from auto-update to show notification) or turn off this feature from Cluster > Settings > Automatic Update.
