Answer

  • SnapMirror only transfers volume data and does not migrate quota configuration.
  • Historically, there was no built-in method to export/import quota rules as part of the volume migration process.
  • Starting with ONTAP 9.14.1, the SVM Data Mobility feature (SVM migration) supports quota migration.
