Issue

  • The air from the blower is directly hitting the casing of the target chassis.
  • The following alerts are generated and cleared:

[node1: env_mgr: monitor.chassisTemperature.warm:alert]: Chassis temperature is too warm: LED Board Temp1 is warning high (43 C).
[node1: env_mgr: monitor.shutdown.cancel:notice]: Automatic shutdown sequence canceled.
[node1: env_mgr: monitor.chassisTemperature.ok:notice]: Chassis temperature is ok.

  • BMC event log shows time matching event:

[IPMI.notice]: 0de1 | 02 | EVT: 01500203 | LED_Board_Temp1 | Assertion Event, "Lower Non-critical going low " | Reading: 2.000 | Threshold: 3.000
[IPMI.notice]: 0de2 | 02 | EVT: 81501303 | LED_Board_Temp1 | Deassertion Event, "Lower Non-critical going low " | Reading: 19.000 | Threshold: 3.000
